Our Model
At NBT Advisory, immigration is not treated as an isolated process. It is approached as the outcome of a structured business journey — supported by commercial logic, financial validation, strategic planning, and coordination with a licensed RCIC. Our model reduces fragmentation, improves clarity, and creates a stronger foundation for cross-border expansion.
The Process
We understand the client's background, business experience, capital position, and long-term objectives.
We identify business opportunities aligned with the client's profile, goals, and pathway requirements.
We assess financials, validate assumptions, and review the opportunity from a practical, strategic perspective.
We support valuation, negotiation, and commercial structuring to align the transaction with the broader strategy.
We prepare an execution-based business plan covering operations, hiring, financial projections, and market direction.
We coordinate with an independent, licensed RCIC who provides the regulated immigration advice and confirms the business structure aligns with the selected pathway. NBT does not provide immigration advice.
We ensure the business case — real opportunity, validated assumptions, execution-ready plan — is fully documented to support the RCIC's filing. The RCIC prepares and submits the immigration application.
Engagement Structure
NBT engagements are structured in three stages, with clear deliverables at each step. Clients see progress before committing further, and the work is staged in line with proper professional practice.
Stage 1
Engagement letter, formal onboarding, initial business and pathway alignment, and confirmation of the appointed RCIC.
Stage 2
Business shortlisting and negotiation support, CPA-led financial due diligence, financial modelling, and delivery of the Business Plan Summary — a top-line strategic overview confirming progress before deeper work begins.
Stage 3
Delivery of the Complete Detailed Business Plan, final pathway packaging and filing by the appointed RCIC, and submission of the immigration application.
Delivery Team
Every NBT Advisory engagement is delivered by a coordinated team. We bring together the right professionals for each stage of the work, all in good standing with their respective regulatory bodies.
Our founder leads strategic direction, commercial structuring, and the client relationship from first call to filing.
An independent, licensed Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) in good standing with the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) provides all regulated immigration advice, eligibility assessment, and filings. The RCIC’s name and CICC registration (R-) number are shared with the client as part of onboarding.
A licensed CPA performs the financial due diligence, revenue validation, source-of-funds substantiation, and review of the financial model behind every business plan.
A licensed Ontario realtor partner assists in identifying and evaluating real businesses for acquisition. Real-estate and business-purchase costs are borne directly by the client; NBT coordinates but does not act as a real-estate principal.
For U.S. E-2 Treaty Investor pathways, NBT refers the client to an established partner firm based in Chicago, which handles the entire engagement directly. NBT remains available for review and client discussion on request.
